KOCH Records has hired executive Scott Givens as VP of Metal. Givens will be based in New York and will report to KOCH Records President Bob Frank.

Givens will be responsible for all metal signings and the day-to-day management of the division.

Previously, Givens worked at RCA Records as Senior Director of Artist Development, where he spearheaded marketing campaigns for many of the label's rock acts.

Prior to his stint at RCA, Givens was General Manager of Divine Recordings, the label created by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. Givens also worked at Roadrunner Records as the VP of Artist Development.

Givens has worked with acts such as VELVET REVOLVER, SLIPKNOT, SEPULTURA and TYPE O NEGATIVE, among others.

Frank comments, "Scott is ready for battle! He is joining our horde at a time of ultimate momentum for KOCH Records in the marketplace. We expect to dominate the indie metal world and with Scott Givens unleashed there is nothing in our way."
